Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) MedLaw

The Competence Center Medicine - Ethics - Law Helvetiae (MERH) is thrilled to offer you the new DAS MedLaw^UZH in the coming year.

The DAS MedLaw^UZH is a part-time postgraduate course aimed at professionals from the various disciplines of medicine, law, ethics and related fields of activity connected with medicine and health. With an interdisciplinary approach, it provides in-depth knowledge with a focus on the acquisition of competencies, professional networking and approaches in the aforementioned subject areas.

The DAS MedLaw^UZH is a continuation and targeted expansion of the UZH's postgraduate education offering in the field of medical and health law. It comprises the two CAS continuing education courses CAS MedLaw^UZH and CAS Law for Medics and Health Professionals^UZH. In addition, relevant CAS of the Institute of Forensic Medicine UZH and other topic-specific, practice-relevant courses of study will be incorporated into the DAS MedLaw^UZH.

For the DAS MedLaw^UZH, the CAS MedLaw^UZH and a second CAS diploma from a pool of diverse CAS in the field of medicine and law are required. These include the CAS Law for Medics and Health Professionals^UZH as well as some CAS courses of the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the University of Zurich.

The regulation of the new DAS MedLaw^UZH will come into force on 01 January 2023. From that date on, further information will be published here. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
